30 Days of Holiday Cards - Day 10: Abundant Blessings
Today I am featuring my Abundant Blessings Holiday Card. On the front my "Winter Rose" Garden Angel appears along with the words, "Winter is a time to tend to the garden within our hearts and minds and be grateful for the abundant blessings there." Inside it reads, "Wishing you a joyful season and a blessed new year."
As I mentioned in my previous post, one thing I like about Winter is that it gets me out of my gardening chores. Still, I do miss my flowers, my wildlife friends and just being outside without shivering. Spring can not come too early for me but in the meantime I like to take the opportunity to work on the inside, and I don't just mean the housework, but also my own inner life.
How do I do that? I spend a lot of time writing in my journal, weeding out my negative thoughts and nurturing the positive ones. I also love to sit by the fireplace in the evening and read books, allowing their stories and ideas to take root in my mind. But most of all, Winter is my time to paint, with the hope of seeing some seed of potential within me grow and blossom in full color on the canvas.
So as much as I complain about the cold and dark days of Winter, it truly does bring me an abundance of blessings. I hope it does the same for you and your loved ones this and every year.
